STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — In demonstration of community spirit and collaboration, four of Staten Island’s Rotary Clubs – North Shore, Mid-Island, Staten Island, and South Shore – joined forces for a Rotary Day of Service at Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden on May 18.
The effort was part of a broader initiative involving more than 800 Rotary clubs and 30,000 Rotarians across 10 states and seven countries, all volunteering to make a substantial difference in their communities.
Jessica Vodoor, CEO of Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden, identified a significant challenge faced by the center during the busy spring and summer months: maintaining the grounds in areas that are difficult to mow with regular riding mowers.
